Have a look at our fantastic detailed drawings of Rudolph!
Some more fun with procedural writing but this time we made gingerbread men cookies, yum! We decided to put our English lessons into action and have some fun with procedural writing! In class, we read about how to make Salt Dough Christmas Decorations and that’s exactly what we did! We started off by discussing the features of procedural writing while making the dough and cutting out the shapes for our decorations. Once they were baked and cooled, we then had the exciting task of decorating the decorations! The girls did a great job and the decorations looked fantastic, well done girls! The girls worked together in pairs to create a matching pair of winter mittens. Working as a team and listening to each other was very important! They all did a great job!The girls are thoroughly enjoying their GAA lessons, learning new skills such as bouncing, soloing, passing and catching. I think we may have a few future stars among us! On Wednesday, the girls in 1st Class took part in a science workshop with Mr Z to celebrate Science Week! The girls had great fun making go-karts using straws, tape, wheels and axels. They had to get their thinking caps on and apply their problem solving skills to try and create their go-karts. The girls then had the opportunity to test their go-karts on a ramp to see how far it travelled. We had a great afternoon! |
